The Village of Wellington is located in the central-western part of Palm Beach County within a 30 minute drive to beaches.
Wellington is comprised of mostly single family homes in planned communities with Homeowner Associations. They range in size from approximately 100 to 4,000 homes per community. Single family homes in gated communities typically have amenities for residents such as community swimming pools, club houses and fitness centers.
The Village of Wellington offers its residents many recreational and entertainment choices including an Amphitheater for live concerts and events, an Aquatic Complex with Olympic size pool, parks (for humans and dogs) and playgrounds, and nature preserves. Wellington also boasts some of the best A-Rated schools in Palm Beach County.
As far as shopping goes, Wellington has an abundance of choices from box stores to mom-and-pops. It’s home to Whole Foods, Trader’s Joes, Fresh Market, The Mall at Wellington Green and Publix’s strategically located within and on the out skirts of the Village.
Most notably though, Wellington is host to the Winter Equestrian Festival and the Palm Beach International Polo Season. The events, contests and matches draw amateur and professional riders, including Olympians, as well as ¼ million spectators from the United States and 52 other countries to compete for millions in prize money.
The seasons runs from January thru April. Equestrians and their approximately 6,000 highly trained horses arrive as early as October to settle in for the season. Regardless of the season, there is a year-round equestrian presence that makes Wellington one of the unique places in the country to live.
