South Palm Beach, Florida, has as its motto “Best Town on the East Coast.” Maybe other towns would beg to differ, but you can be the judge of that. South Palm Beach is an exquisite coastal town. You can live just minutes from the glittering blue of the Atlantic, walk on white sand beaches, swim in the near-tropical waters offshore, and enjoy cool ocean breezes.
This little town had a population of 1,536 as of the year 2000. With a total area of 0.3 square miles, it’s an unusually small town, but that only enhances the feel of camaraderie. Moreover, this town offers beautiful tropical landscaping. The town office building is surrounded by lush greens and tall palms.
In the 1960s, the first business was established. This was the two-story inn, called Palm Beach Oceanfront Inn, as well as an oceanfront restaurant called Tides Bar and Grille. History is important to this town. A proposal to build a resort-style hotel on the site of the historic inn was rejected unanimously by the Town Council, showing their commitment to the history of the town.
This growing town is a great place to go if you want to live coastally in a community of people who love the Atlantic and Florida’s Treasure Coast. Life in South Palm Beach involves leisure and fun, though business is welcome, too.
