Highland Beach Single Family Homes Foreclosures

Home Foreclosures for Sale in Highland Beach Florida
The town of Highland Beach, located in the famous Palm Beach County of Florida, is a great place for anyone who likes to boat and likes recreation. The town is right on the Intracoastal Waterway, making it easy to get to various coastal areas of the state of Florida.

As of 2000, the total population was 3,775, and the town’s area was 1.1 square miles. This town is low-key and low-tech. It has no intersection lights at all. It doesn’t have a huge population, so this doesn’t tend to pose any particular problems.

Highland Beach isn’t a good place to open a business due to very strict business laws. At present, there is only one business, called O’Grady Realty, and laws prevent opening more businesses. There is also a single hotel, called the Holiday Inn Oceanside, in the town. No more hotels will be built, either. While this may hinder development, it also may help preserve the tranquility of the town by guarding against overdevelopment.

Highland Beach is extremely safe. It’s one of the top ten U.S. cities as far as being low crime. However, it tends to be expensive. At least as of 2008, the median home price was about 4 million. This scenic town is largely waterfront, which helps it attract many wealthy and famous people. At one point, Mariah Carey owned a home there. Ray Lewis, an NFL player, also has a Highland Beach home. It is also a vacation spot for Oprah Winfrey.
