Home Foreclosures in Golden Beach FL
The beautifully named Golden Beach is a small town on the coast of Miami-Dade County, Florida. This charming town, as of 2004, had a population of 921. It’s located between the Atlantic and Florida’s famous Intracoastal Waterway, so if you’re a swimmer, a boater, someone who likes to fish, or just someone who likes water, this idyllic little retreat might just be for you.
Golden Beach is a remarkably upscale community. Many famous people have homes here – one such person is Bill Gates, and Paul Newman also maintained a Golden Beach home. Many homes are worth more than a million dollars.
The town, established in 1924, also has some pop-culture significance. Eric Clapton’s album 461 Ocean Boulevard was named after a house in Golden Beach. It’s a place that’s great to go if you want to have an upscale, private retreat.
Make a note that this isn’t a good place to go if you want to start a business. Golden Beach doesn’t allow commercial development. It also forbids the building of high rises. Thus, the skyline is uninterrupted and pristine. The schools that serve the town include Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High Biscayne Bay Campus. However, enterprising businesspeople may want to build businesses just outside the town in neighboring Hallandale Beach, Aventura, or Sunny Isles Beach.
Essentially, if you have extra money and want to live somewhere protected and beautiful, look at Golden Beach. While it’s an exclusive community, Golden Beach offers unparalleled views, a peaceful existence, and plenty of recreational opportunities. You can feel safe as police presence is large and the town is somewhat difficult to access.
