About Wellington Florida

When C. Oliver Wellington bought 18,000 acres of swampland in central Palm Beach County back in  the 1950’s, surely he had no idea that swampland would become what is now known as the Villlage of Wellington.  After years of being primarily a bedroom community with few shopping centers or restaurants, Wellington has blossomed into one of the fastest growing and desirable cities in Palm Beach County. 

Wellington has become world famous for its equestrian activities being host to the annual “Winter Equestrian Festival” as well as for it’s Palm Beach Polo, where you can see celebrities such as the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, or actor Tommy Lee Jones on one of his many polo ponies. The “horsey” season usually runs from January through April making it a bit difficult at that time of year to find short term seasonal rentals.
